A view from the sky tram in Jasper on a family holiday
We have been fortunate to have our grandchildren living close to us over the years and enjoyed many great times together. (Check out "No More Regrets" 22 Nov 2017 or "She Loves Me HUGE Much" 2 Mar. 2018) It has been a delight to to have been a part of their lives and watch them grow into fine young men. From the beginning we attended more than a few band concerts, school gatherings, family gatherings and even joined their family on a few vacations.
We seemed to think that we knew them pretty well and perhaps we did, but one of them threw us a curve about how well he knew us. It seems that when he was little, he had a concern for some time that we were secret smokers. After all, he thought the evidence was right in front of him on our kitchen table, "Tobacco Sauce". It had been there for some time. He kept his worries to himself and didn't tell anyone. Maybe he didn't want us to look bad to his parents, who knows. It must have been a serious dilemma for him because as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we are not supposed to smoke. It was a few years later, when he was much wiser, that he was finally able to solve the mystery himself. It seems that what he saw on our table every time he came over was really Tabasco Sauce and not Tobacco Sauce at all. What a relief that must have been for him! He finally told his dad, his dad told me and we had a good laugh. Sometimes you can be surprised at what goes on in someone's mind. "Tobacco Sauce" Really?
