A view from the sky tram in Jasper on a family holiday
There are advantages to growing up in a big family. One advantage of mine was sharing a bed with two of my older sisters, Joyce and Mary for a time. On a cold winter night there is something comforting about being sandwiched between an older sister on one side and another one on the other side, especially if you look up to them and think they are the greatest. They commented more than once that I was like a little furnace in the middle.
Some time ago, our daughter-in-law and I were reminiscing about past times. I mentioned sleeping with my sisters and being a little furnace. I didn't know my husband had come into the room behind me until I heard the comment, 'She still is'. Some things never change.
